Open Question
Can you slide to first base?
It seems like players will willingly slide to second, third, and home base, but I have never saw a player slide to first. First base is always a foot race that the runner most likely loses. I believe that the slide to first base would give an advantage to the runner. Is there any limitation on players sliding to first?

Answer Question
I indeed Googled it and this is what I found:
"At least 90% of African American NBA players are married to African American women". I would imagine that the world just pays more attention to the marriage when the bride is someone who is not African American.

answer: PRINCE OF TROLLS time: 2010-09-28 10:12:27If you've never seen a player slide into first base, you haven't seen many games. Sliding, other than to avoid the first baseman's tag on a poor throw, is dumb. Sliding slows you down. Since the batter-runner may overrun 1B without being in jeopardy, it makes no sense to slide, other than to avoid a tag.

yes you can slide into first if you want but it is actually very dangerous thing to do because you maybe able to slide but you cant control what the first baseman does.
