Answer Question
To be honest, not really.
Lake Osborne behind the Naperville PD/FD complex (Raymond & Aurora) really sucks. I saw a guy catch a Walleye out of there once so 4 nights a week I'l jog the 1 mile track and sit back with two beers, a cup of leaches, and a fishing pole. I never even caught a bluegill. I did get two bites over two summers though.
There is a trio of ponds in the Big Woods forect preserve just west of Eola road on Bilter (over by the outlet malls off I-88). If you are driving down Bilter from Eola Road toward the outlet malls, they will be on the right just before Dupage Parkway (I believe they are right across from the Eola on-ramp..they built that after I moved to the SW burbs). Of the three, I liked the one right behind Devonshire Ct. Go to google maps and enter Devonshire Ct, Aurora, IL and that will put you right there. You can park on the street and walk in between the town houses. I hadn't caught bass there, but there are some very nice Crappies in there (beaver as well).
Across from Devonshire Ct, there is a pond along I-88 out on the Prarie Path. I hadn't fished there personally, but it doesn't get much pressure and the people I know that did fish there did pretty well. I've heard of a bass or two getting pulled out of there. It could be fisherman's BS for all I know, but that is what I heard.
I've fished a time or to on Herrick Lake (off Butterfield and Herrick Rd). I have seen some small bass pulled out of there, but nothing spectacular.
Sorry I can't help you more. I never really found a good spot in the Naperville area (haven't found one in the Plainfield/Joliet area either)
Former US President Bill Clinton.
