Ferru saves a match point in a thriller against Baghdatis! Thoughts?
Did anyone watch Baghdatis vs. Ferrer in Madrid today? It was a heck of a match! Baghdatis was leading 4-2 40-love on his serve in the third set and Ferrer came back to win. The Spaniard later saved a match point on his serve, with a spectacular (if lucky) volley at the net. Baghdatis was a bit tired in the end, and he wasn't going for his shots (especially that great forehand) and his first serve percentage dropped like a lead balloon in the third set. Even so, the charismatic Cypriot was still himself, cracking smiles often and at one point jokingly pleading with the crowd not to whistle at him when he was looking at a mark. There's something about Baghdatis and epic matches (Hewitt, Agassi, etc.). Ferrer didn't play all that well but was his usual fighting self.
The final score was 1-6, 6-3, 7-5. Sorry that your guy lost, Mexi =P

Wow imagine Argentina wins, smh, AND YOUR ARGENTINIAN !
Ahh, love to see Baghdatis on court like that, he is seriously one of my favorite players! He jokes even when he is losing. That's what I love about him.
As for the match today, bad luck. I didn't get to see it, but with that scoreline you described earlier I thought Baghdatis would have won it for sure. Guess Ferrer came back stomping and prevailed in the end. Another epic.
Yay Davie!!
