First of all the guy he lost to is no slouch and I think any of the fighters rated in the top five or even top seven weight classes of either Strike Force or the UFC are probably pretty good fighters even though they may have a loss or even several losses on their record. What you saw last night in that fight is one of the things that makes MMA so exciting and dynamic to watch, especially to the educated fan, is for one fighter at any one point in the fight to bring about an end to it through choke or submission as well as a kick or a punch. If you consider the Lee/Smith fight it was a kick that set this up and brought this about for Lee to take out Smith and pound him into a TKO stoppage while for the Fedor/Werdum it was a combination triangle choke along with an arm bar that brought about a tap out.

With so many different ways for a fighter to win I think it is bound to happen where a good fighter or even the best fighter can sometimes lose if caught making a mistake, even if it is to a lesser fighter and this is one of the things that makes MMA exciting to watch. At the same time I would have liked to see it go longer so that each of them could have show cased their skills and talent more like what you saw in the Lee/Smith fight but a loss for Fedor like he did is by no means something that has not happend to every other fighter that you would care to mention or would call the best fighter out there who has as many fights as Fedor has had.

14 wins and 4 losses (all to notable fighters) is hardly a guy with an 'undecent' record.

You could spend your entire life training in MMA and would never achieve that kinda record, you're just pathetic.
