That would depend what sort of abilities and concerns your mermaids have. Are the worried about being spotted by humans? Are they physically capable swimming along the ocean floor where the pressure is immense? How are their senses? Can they see well in the dark or do they rely on vibrations in the water or smells to alert them of potential danger? How fast are they compared to other fast sea creatures? Would mermaids need places to hide away from danger or could they out swim predators? You have to understand your characters to determine the safest way. These are just a few things to consider but since this is your story, it is ultimately up to you - you have the power to create whatever you like.

2)Floyd is scared, makes up more alibis and duck excuses

3)Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is off

4) Manny Pacquiao avoids the beating of a lifetime, fights one or two more scrubs and demands they come in at less then their comfortable weight, makes 40 million dollars or so, and continues to fraudulently rip off the boxing public.

As far as I am concerned it's one guys fault. The guy who asked for things out of the ordinary, and that's Floyd.
