Pacquiao Still Thinks Mayweather is "Scared To Fight"?

In a recent interview with The Freeman, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao continued to question Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s desire to fight him. The Filipino champion made one thing clear, unless there is a 50/50 split on the money, the fight will not happen. As long as there is a 50/50 split on money, Pacquiao doesn't see an issue with a deal being finalized. There has been talk that Mayweather is requesting a bigger percentage of the money, with rumors of a 60-40 demand in his favor.

“If it’s going to be a 50/50 split, the fight will definitely push through,” said Pacquiao at his suite at Waterfront-Cebu City Hotel and Casino on Sunday.

Pacquiao is still not sure if the fight will come off with Mayweather, or another opponent, like Antonio Margarito will step in. The Filipino champion thinks Mayweather is setting up roadblocks because he is afraid to lose.

“Right now, it’s not year clear. He’s afraid to fight me,” said Pacquiao.

Pacquiao and his team seem more stuck on the issue of money and not the big debate over random drug tests. Pacquiao's top adviser Rex "Wakee" Salud said his fighter deserves the 50/50 split.

“That is too much for Mayweather to ask. Besides, that’s unfair to Pacquiao because he’s the main draw being the current pound-for-pound king,” said Salud.
