Questions about P-Tex?
I just p-texed my Burton Joystick which has a sintered base. Few problems: i read online I'm supposed to use stick or ribbon p-tex which is harder. I used Clear P-Tex Rod which didn't say anything else, so I don't know if I used the right one.
Also, I didn't read before hand that I was supposed to let the black flakes completely dissolve off, so I got some in the cracks of my snowboard.
My questions are 1. Do you think the p-tex I used was ok, and 2. is it a huge deal that I got black flakes in the cracks of my board, or do you think it will be ok? Should i start digging into the filled cracks and fetch it all out, even though its pretty much dry?
Here's the link for the p-tex I used: http://www.racewax.com/product/RB-2365/T…

answer: PoonareDace time: 2011-06-16 06:59:57The p-tex you used it fine. A lot of ski/snowboard tuning is not really necessary and won't make a noticeable difference unless you're going mach 5. Again, the black flakes aren't really appealing, but you won't notice a difference.
