What happened to my passion, dedication, and motivation for swimming?
I have been a competitive swimmer for 10 years(I am currently 15). I am ranked in the top 10 for the state of nebraska and I am qualified for sectional and grand prix meets all over the US. I have come a long ways and have achieved many goals. I looked forward to practices and swim meets, they were fun. However, lately it seems like a job or a chore. I keep looking for every excuse possible to get out of practice and the only meets I want to go to are the meets out of town that I get to stay in hotels and hang out with my team, I am starting to think of them as vacation which they aren't. Please help, I keep thinking about quiting and I know deep down I don't want to. I just want to know how I can get the passion, dedication, and motivation back. I don't want to loose my top ranked status and I am afraid I will.
